The Soft Robotics and Bionics Laboratory (SRBL), directed by Prof. Yong-Lae Park, starts a collaborative research project with Neofect, a medical device company, and Seoul National University Bundang Hospital. SRBL is planning to develop a soft robotic lower limb orthosis and its control algorithm. Seoul National University Bundang Hospital will identify and quantify the functions necessary for hemiplegic patients. They will conduct user evaluation and clinical trials and aim to obtain the MFDS certification. Neofect will develop a commercial product that enables patients to perform customized rehabilitation treatment and assist with daily life by developing an AI function.
